Trees provided me with some solid ground under my feet in a time full of transitions. After moving back to The Netherlands I walked through the wooded areas and old courtyards around The Hague. I came across very old as well as youthful trees that all captured my curiosity. I took off to go sketching, learn how to bring them to life on paper, and discover the secret life of trees.
